DuraWear™

The Peril of Worn Wear Parts.

You know that planter row unit maintenance is critical for consistent plant emergence. It's simple: worn row unit components, especially worn parallel arms and gauge wheel arms, allow slop and play causing uneven seed depth. Even the smallest wear robs you of yield from late-emerging plants. Instead of throwing money and time at temporary fixes, get your time and money back with DuraWear wear parts.

DuraWear™ Depth Handle

A new solution to eliminate an old problem. Does your planter have depth variability from row to row? It's easy to move a T-handle, but setting the true depth on each row can be a guessing game, and getting it wrong leads to inconsistency and reduced yields. With our calibratable depth handle, the grower can remove the row-to-row variability so that each row is set to the same depth notch, providing peace of mind that each row is planting at the same depth, every time.

  • How It Works

The depth handle is a simple adjustment tool that allows for microadjustments to be made within a depth setting to hone in on accuracy.

  1. Lower the planter onto calibration blocks
  2. Loosen the nylock nut and set the depth handle to the desired position
  3. Lift and slide the upper handle until the mustache contacts the gauge wheel arm
  4. Retighten the nut

Easy Calibration for each row with the depth handle ensures the same depth across the planter.

DuraWear™ Parallel Arms

Secure parallel arm linkage on your planter is critical for consistent seed placement. But you shouldn't have to keep buying replacement arms and rebuild kits to keep your row units in order. Easy to install DuraWear™ Parallel Arms are built for continued performance on your John Deere, Kinze or Case IH planter.

How It Works

DuraWear™ Parallel Arms use a two-part bushing as opposed to the traditional single bushing design. An outer bushing protects the parallel arm while allowing the inner bushing to rotate freely. This extends the life of your parallel arms when bolts and bushings wear out, leaving the arm performing for years to come.

Compatability

  • DuraWear [short] parallel arms fit on John Deere ME+, ME2, XP, and ME5 row units.
  •  DuraWear [long] parallel arms fit on John Deere ME2, ME+, XP, ME5 row units.
  • DuraWear [short] parallel arms fit on Case IH 12xx series row units
  • DuraWear [short] parallel arms fit on Kinze 3000 series puller row units (not pusher).

DuraWear™ Gauge Wheel Arms

Gauge wheels and disk openers require exact placement together. DuraWear™ Gauge Wheel Arms have a high-wear, polymer bushing pivot design, that increases the longevity of use and ensures a solid relationship between the gauge wheels and disk openers. No greasing, shims, or special tools needed.

How It Works

With only three components, DuraWear Gauge Wheel Arms are simple to install and simple to adjust. A polymer bushing pivot keeps gauge wheels tight against the openers, lessening the speed of wear. And a serviceable wear clip limits damage from the mustache, extending the life of the arm and alleviating row-to-row depth variation.

Compatability

  • DuraWear gauge wheel arms fit on John Deere ME2 (must have removable shank bolt), ME+, XP, and ME5 row units.

Walking Depth Stop &

Seed Tube Guard

A worn depth stop causes variability and uneven planting depth across the planter. This replacement for the walking depth stop, or mustache, is a core part of the row unit and maintains consistent depth from row to row.

Seed tube guards are an important part of planter row unit maintenance, as they help create the proper furrow geometry and extend the life of the seed tube. If yours are worn, you risk your seed not getting into the trench or having too narrow of a seed trench. Even if the downforce and spacing is good, the seed trench could be too narrow.
