5000 Stalk Devastator™ Stalk Roller Attachment


Today’s hybrids develop tough stalks that can destroy expensive tires and tracks on equipment. The 5000 Stalk Devastator™ saves tires and tracks by knocking over and crimping stalks while leaving them attached, speeding up the cornstalk breakdown process and improving field conditions for spring planting.

6200 Twister Closing Wheel 

• Crumbles and firms soil simultaneously: Twisted spikes enhance seed-to-soil contact and help create the ideal seed environment, leading to even crop emergence and higher yields. The rounded center ring—sized 12" to match the size of rubber closing wheels—maintains consistent depth.

• Works in diverse field conditions, cover crops, and tillage practices: Optimize performance for minimum-till, conventional, strip-till, vertical tillage, or no-till by adjusting down pressure on the tail wheel closing arm.

• Fractures the sidewall: In wet, unfavorable planting conditions, the Twister fractures the sidewall. This reduces the potential for crusting and the seed furrow drying out and cracking open.

• Prevents mud buildup: A smooth surface and a rounded center design help prevent problematic mud buildup, which can interfere with seed furrow closure.

• Cost-effective and easy to install: The Twister Poly Closing Wheel is built for durability with ultra-high molecular weight (UHMW) plastic. It takes as little as five minutes per row unit to install. Independent studies by Beck’s Practical Farm Research have shown the Twister provides a positive return on investment.


2940 Air Adjust™ Row Cleaner 

 
Take control from the cab with the pneumatic 2940 Air Adjust Row Cleaner, available in wide and narrow models. Integrated using an in-cab controller with easy-to-use adjustment buttons and five presets, the Air Adjust Row Cleaner allows you to cover more ground in less time and makes it easy to adapt to planting conditions, which change every hour every day.

Features:

• Available in wide (22"–40") and narrow (15"–22") widths
• Available in models compatible with John Deere, Case IH, White, and Kinze planters
• Up and down pressures can be adjusted to create ideal ride for row cleaners; pressure can be increased to boost rigidness
• Features parallel linkage so residue manager follows ground contour better than single-pivot designs
• Utilizes iPad or ISOBUS to enable quick adjustments
• Raise units as needed from the cab with the push of a button for wet areas, waterways, end rows, and other conditions

Strip Freshener CC

The versatile Strip Freshener CC can be used in the spring or fall to freshen existing strips or create new strips in untilled soil. It is also equipped to clear residue and precisely place fertilizer—all in one pass.

• Clearing residue: Floating row cleaners attach to the front of the 2984 Strip Freshener CC, clearing residue out of the planting zone before tillage. This prevents hairpinning and residue being buried in the planting zone, which can lead to an inconsistent seedbed.
• Building or reviving strips: The Strip Freshener CC operates at 6–10 mph and has a depth adjustment range of 1 1/2"–4". Three blades mix soil while rolling baskets condition the 10" wide strips, creating a consistent seedbed to plant into. • • •  •Cleared of residue, the strips can easily warm up and dry out before planting.

Placing fertilizer: Add fertilizer application equipment to place liquid or dry fertilizer in the new or revived strips.  

Furrow Max™ Closing System

The Furrow Max Closing System is designed to break up sidewall compaction. The two-stage system merges loose soil in the center of the disc opening and firms the soil over the seed. With adjustable pressure settings on the closing disc followed by a firming wheel, the Furrow Max ensures optimal seed-to-soil contact. Growers can achieve better emergence and improve crop stands in corn, soybeans, cotton, canola, and sugar beets.

The Furrow Max offers more adjustment capability than other closing systems on the market. It is a tandem system that features four down pressure settings each for the closing discs and firming wheel. The Furrow Max can be adjusted to exert minimum or maximum down pressure depending on the moisture content of the soil.


Other units force the seed furrow closed, leading to inconsistent and often negative results. But the Furrow Max allows you to maximize yield potential by fine-tuning the unit for your operation’s unique terrain, crop, moisture levels, and soil conditions. 

2968 Fertilizer Openers

The 2968 achieves consistent off-the-row placement of liquid or starter nitrogen fertilizer. With the 2968, you don’t have to make a costly separate fertilizer pass. It mounts right to your planter and runs alongside your row cleaners and closing wheels, without interfering with gauge wheels or depth settings.


  1. Using a 10" disc to open the fertilizer slot, the 2968 places nitrogen 2" or 3" off the row. You can make quick adjustments between placement locations using a 9/16" wrench. 
  2. Nitrogen is locked in 1"–2" below the soil surface, greatly reducing the risk of blowing or volatilization that you have with broadcast application. That means you’re limiting nitrogen loss and getting more out of your investment.  
  3. Moisture helps the nitrogen bands move quickly down into the root zone. It also dilutes the fertilizer solution, protecting roots and sensitive seeds from burn or injury. 
  4. Your nitrogen is now in the perfect position for early root interception and uptake, which will promote growth. 
  5. As more roots develop, they also hit the band of nitrogen, providing an ongoing boost during critical growth stages.
